Contest-Specific Rules
These contest-specific rules apply to the KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway, conducted by Ellensburg Radio Broadcasting, LLC dba KXLE AM/FM.
By entering the KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by these contest-specific rules, along with KXLE AM/FM’s complete General Contest and Sweepstakes Rules, available on KXLERadio.com In the event of any conflict between these contest-specific rules and KXLE AM/FM’s General Contest and Sweepstakes Rules, these contest-specific rules shall apply.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
CONTEST PERIOD
The KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway qualifying period begins Saturday, July 11, 2026, and continues through Friday, August 21, 2026.
On-air qualifying will take place on Friday mornings during The KXLE Morning Rodeo, in either the 7:00 a.m. hour or the 8:00 a.m. hour, as announced on-air.
The final winner will be selected at the Rotary Rodeo Kickoff Breakfast on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
ELIGIBILITY
Entrants must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry to qualify for or win the KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway.
Unless otherwise stated, entrants must also be legal residents of Washington State.
Limit one qualifier per person and per household for the KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway.
Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of Ellensburg Radio Broadcasting, LLC dba KXLE AM/FM, contest sponsors, prize providers, promotional partners, advertising agencies, participating businesses, and local radio or television stations in the Kittitas County area are not eligible to enter or win. Immediate family members and household members of those individuals are also not eligible.
For purposes of these rules, immediate family includes spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, and in-laws, regardless of where they live. Household members include people who share the same residence, whether related or not.
KXLE AM/FM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or qualifier who violates these rules, provides false information, attempts to tamper with the contest, behaves inappropriately toward Station staff, sponsors, participating businesses, or other entrants, or otherwise affects the fairness or integrity of the contest.
PRIZE PACKAGE
One grand prize winner will receive the KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway prize package, which includes:
- Four (4) tickets to the Ellensburg Rodeo Crown Royal Kickoff Party;
- Four (4) tickets to each Ellensburg Rodeo performance, Thursday through Monday
- Four (4) tickets to Saturday’s XTreme Bulls;
- Four (4) tickets to the Sweetwater Ranch Party on Sunday;
- Four (4) tickets to Clint Black at Rockin’ the Chutes Concert;
- Six (6) Kittitas County Fair tickets;
- Six (6) carnival wristband vouchers;
- One (1) Special Parking Pass for the weekend; and
- The option to select one Ellensburg Rodeo performance, excluding XTreme Bulls on Saturday, to utilize VIP/Sponsor Room wristbands.
There is no cash component to this prize package. The prize is not redeemable for cash, may not be exchanged for cash, and may not be transferred. All tickets, passes, wristbands, vouchers, and event access are subject to the rules, restrictions, schedules, availability, and policies of the Ellensburg Rodeo, Kittitas County Fair, Rockin’ the Chutes, event organizers, venues, sponsors, and/or prize providers.
The winner and any guests may be required to present valid identification and comply with all event, venue, age, ticketing, parking, wristband, and access requirements.
KXLE AM/FM is not responsible for event cancellations, postponements, weather-related changes, schedule changes, artist changes, venue changes, access restrictions, lost tickets, unused tickets, or any other changes made by event organizers or prize providers.
HOW TO QUALIFY — ON-AIR CODEWORD QUALIFIERS
During the qualifying period, a KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway codeword will air on KXLE AM/FM Saturday through Thursday.
The on-air qualifying opportunity will take place on Friday mornings during The KXLE Morning Rodeo, in either the 7:00 a.m. hour or the 8:00 a.m. hour, as announced on-air. When prompted, listeners must call the official KXLE Contest Line at 509-260-5953.
To qualify through the on-air codeword portion of the contest, a listener must:
- Call the official KXLE Contest Line when prompted;
- Be the ninth (9th) eligible caller, or a later caller if earlier callers are ineligible, unavailable, disconnected, or unable to provide the correct codeword;
- Correctly provide the codeword of the week; and
- Meet all eligibility requirements under these contest-specific rules and KXLE AM/FM’s General Contest and Sweepstakes Rules.
A total of six (6) on-air qualifiers will be selected through the on-air codeword portion of the contest.
KXLE AM/FM will determine, in its sole discretion, which caller is the official qualifying caller. KXLE AM/FM is not responsible for busy signals, dropped calls, telephone issues, carrier issues, technical problems, delayed audio streams, or any other issue that may affect a listener’s ability to participate. Listeners should be aware that online streams, smart speakers, apps, and webcasts may be delayed. Such delays may affect a listener’s ability to participate in time-sensitive contests.
HOW TO QUALIFY — SPONSOR BUSINESS ENTRY BLANKS
An additional six (6) qualifiers will be selected from eligible entry blanks submitted at or through participating sponsoring businesses. No purchase is necessary to enter at a sponsoring business. Entry blanks must be completed accurately and submitted by the applicable deadline. KXLE AM/FM is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged, misdirected, or undelivered entry blanks.
Sponsor business qualifiers will be selected from eligible entries received. KXLE AM/FM reserves the right to determine the method, timing, and validity of sponsor business qualifier selection.
FINALIST SELECTION
A total of twelve (12) qualifiers will be selected for the KXLE Big Ticket Giveaway:
- Six (6) on-air codeword qualifiers; and
- Six (6) sponsor business entry qualifiers.
All twelve (12) qualifiers will be invited to attend the Rotary Rodeo Kickoff Breakfast on Saturday, August 22, 2026, for the final winner selection.
Each qualifier must be present in person at the Rotary Rodeo Kickoff Breakfast to be eligible to win the grand prize. No substitute, proxy, representative, or alternate attendee may appear on behalf of a qualifier.
Qualifiers may be required to check in with KXLE AM/FM staff by a specified time at the event. Any qualifier who is not present, does not check in when required, leaves before the final selection, or is otherwise determined to be ineligible may be disqualified. If a qualifier is disqualified, ineligible, unable to attend, or otherwise unable to participate in the final winner selection, KXLE AM/FM may, but is not required to, select an alternate qualifier.
FINAL WINNER SELECTION
At the Rotary Rodeo Kickoff Breakfast, each eligible finalist will be given one envelope.
One envelope will contain the winning “golden ticket.”
The finalist who receives or selects the envelope containing the winning golden ticket will be named the grand prize winner, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with all contest rules.
KXLE AM/FM’s decisions regarding the final selection process, finalist eligibility, envelope selection, and grand prize winner verification are final.
CLAIMING THE PRIZE
The grand prize winner must provide valid identification and complete any required paperwork before the prize is awarded.
The winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, publicity release, tax form, or other documentation required by KXLE AM/FM or the prize provider.
Failure to provide required identification or complete required paperwork may result in forfeiture of the prize.
RELEASE AND PUBLICITY
By entering or accepting a prize, entrants and finalists agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Ellensburg Radio Broadcasting, LLC dba KXLE AM/FM, its officers, directors, employees, agents, sponsors, participating businesses, promotional partners, prize providers, and affiliated entities from any and all claims, damages, losses, injuries, liabilities, or expenses arising from participation in the contest or the acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or inability to use the prize.
By participating, entrants and finalists grant KXLE AM/FM permission to use their name, voice, likeness, photograph, video, city of residence, and/or recorded statements for promotional, advertising, broadcast, social media, and publicity purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
KXLE AM/FM reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the contest at any time if, in the sole judgment of the Station, the contest cannot be conducted as planned or if the fairness, integrity, security, or proper operation of the contest is affected.
KXLE AM/FM is not responsible for printing errors, typographical errors, incorrect announcements, website errors, prize description errors, technical failures, telephone failures, internet issues, carrier issues, weather, event changes, event cancellations, schedule changes, or any other circumstance beyond the Station’s control.
KXLE AM/FM reserves the right to make changes necessary to protect the integrity of the Station, the contest, the sponsors, the prize providers, and the listening audience.
All decisions of KXLE AM/FM are final.
