The community is invited to gather Monday, May 25, 2026, at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Ellensburg for a Memorial Day Military Celebration recognizing the service and sacrifice of United States military personnel who died while serving in the Armed Forces.
The ceremony begins at 12:00 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park, 700 N. Poplar, Ellensburg, and will include a time of remembrance, reflection, and recognition as America approaches its 250th anniversary.
Memorial Day serves as a solemn reminder that the freedoms enjoyed today came at a cost paid by generations of service members who never returned home. The event aims to honor those individuals while bringing the community together in gratitude and remembrance.
A lunch by donation will follow the ceremony at approximately 12:30 p.m.
The event is supported in part by local community organizations including Rotary and Washington State’s America’s 250th commemoration efforts.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend.
